Obituary

Pocahontas- Lois Johnston, age 94, of Pocahontas passed away Monday, October 30, 2017. She was born at Pollard, AR on October 29, 1923 to Walter and Alpha Trett Cashion. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cabot, AR.

She was a retired school teacher having taught in Arkansas and Missouri for 37 years. Her last 22 years was at Central Elementary School in St. Charles Missouri. She was a Sunday school teacher in the children's department for many years. After retirement she enjoyed quilting, gardening, and camping, but most of all she enjoyed her family.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Johnston, a sister, Opal Davis, three brothers, Wayne, Julian, and Oliver Cashion.

She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Ann Johnston, a son, Randy Johnston and wife Teresa Johnston, and a very special granddaughter and great granddaughter, Samantha and Emersyn Johnston. Three sisters-in-law, Wanda Cashion of Jonesboro, Jean Cashion of Bridgeton, Mo, and Marie Lindsey of Pocahontas, all the loved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, November 3, 2017 from 1-2 pm at McNabb Funeral Home with a funeral immediately following at 2 pm with Terry Fortner officiating. Burial in Nelson Cemetery.
