Jonesboro-Lois Irene Lawson Flanagan Stroud, 95, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 7, 2014. She was born in Trumann, but lived in Craighead County most of her life. She retired from St. Bernards Medical Center where she worked as a certified nurse's assistant. She love working outside, walking, and seeing all the beauties of God's creations. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and a member of the senior Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Terry Lawson; her husband, Marshall Stroud; a son, Terry Flanagan; three sisters, Lora Johnson, Cynthia Meeks and Dorothy Young; two brothers, Archie Lawson and Arnold Lawson. She is survived by her son and his wife, Dennis Dwight and Janice Flanagan; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from noon until 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Adrian Parker officiating with burial to follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Dwight Flanagin, Sherman Drum, Mitchell Drum, Bob Chandler and Burl Turman.
