IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lois E
Hunter
August 16, 1939 – October 29, 2022
Mrs. Lois E. Hunter of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Woodbriar Nursing Home in Harrisburg, Arkansas at the age of 83.
She was born August 16, 1939 in Steeleville, Missouri, the daughter of the late Earl Talley and Mary Skull Talley.
Following graduation, Lois worked for the Brown Shoe Factory for over 40 years. She retired from Arlee Pillow Factory in Leachville. She also ran the Senior Center in Leachville for many years. Lois and Ralph Hunter married on January 12, 1961 and she was his sweetheart for 61 years. She lived most of her life in the Leachville area until she & Ralph moved to Harrisburg in 2015.
"Gaga" was the beloved matriarch of her family, and family was the most important thing to her. She loved nothing more than having her family around her dining room table. Everyone that walked through her door felt loved and no one ever left hungry. She cared in the most exceptional ways. She made sure birthdays and holidays were remembered—especially daylight savings time because she didn't want her family to be late for church. Mrs. Lois shared the love of the Lord with everyone around her. She spent many hours in prayer for others & devoted her life to God, her husband, her family and serving others. The world was a better place because of the unconditional love Gaga showed.
She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Harrisburg. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by two sisters, Betty Fleeman and Viola Talley.
Lois is survived by her husband, Ralph Hunter of the home, two sons, Mike Hunter of Chattanooga, TN and Ron Hunter and his wife Shelly of Harrisburg, AR, one sister, Mary Anthony of Memphis, TN, one brother, Jim Talley and his wife Bonnie of Missouri, five grandchildren Sarah Harper and husband Jordan of Harrisburg, Andrew Hunter and wife Jaden of Little Rock, Katie McCrary and husband Collin of Paragould, Alaina Hunter of Harrisburg and Jacob Clark of Atlanta, GA, and two great grandchildren, Tate Monroe Harper and Everett Jack Hunter.
