Pocahontas, Lois Fay Farrar, 79, entered into eternal peace January 2, 2015 at her home surrounded by family. Lois was born January 18, 1935 in Jamestown, Tennessee to the late Denver and Lena Jones Reed. Lois is survived by sons Robert ( Mary) Sackett of Killeen, TX., Johnny Farrar of TX., Mike Dunn of North Carolina, daughters Cindy (Ricky Jr.) Turner of the home, Stephanie (Johnnie) West of TX., Susan Kuehl of TX., daughter-in-law Shari (Keith) Taylor of Williford. Grandchildren Katrina (Josh) Clark of Imboden, David (Becky) Scott of Walnut Ridge, Mike (Viola) Rothe of Pocahontas, Jimmy (Missy) Sackett of Greers Ferry, Angie (Billy) Haney of Killeen, TX., Eric ( Dani Lynn) Folansbee of Killeen, TX., Les (Shannon) Folansbee of Florence, TX., Crystal (Tim) Wollos of Maynard, Harley Turner of Supply, Mika Jo (Justin) Hales of Williford, Amy Dunn of Pocahontas, Tina McPherson of Pocahontas, JC (Shannon) Powell of Warm Springs, Lenny (Sammie Jo) Davenport of Rockford, IL., Melissa (Matt) Bucklin of TX, other grand and great grandchildren to numerous to mention. Sisters Calia Jo (Roy) Thomas of Oneida, TN., Druscilla Noble of Portland, IN., brothers L.D. (Wilma) Reed and Sam (Lois) Reed both of Muncie, IN. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband William W. Farrar, daughters Sheila Davenport, Claudia Powell, sisters Wanda West and Gail Terrell, brothers Carroll Reed and Roger Reed. Lois was a lifetime member of VFW Post 4556 of Pocahontas, Arkansas. Joined in 1985. She held many offices including President of the Ladies Auxiliary. She also received numerous awards throughout her active years in the VFW. Services will be held in McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends Wednesday, January 7, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held the following day Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Dick Riney officiating. The VFW Post 4556 will be presenting honors. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery.
