Obituary

Lisa Kay Jarrett of Harrisburg departed this life on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House at the age of 56.

She was born March 6, 1969, in Harrisburg, the daughter of the late Ronald Jarrett and Kay Jarrett Faulkner.

Lisa was a 1987 graduate of Harrisburg High School.  Following High School, she worked for American Greetings in Harrisburg which later became Acme Frame.  When Acme Frame closed, she attended Delta Vo-Tech in Marked Tree and studied Clerical and Word Processing. She worked at the Bank of Harrisburg for many years and then for First National Bank. After the bank sold again to First Financial Bank, she began working at the Poinsett County Assessors Office and worked there until her health forced her to retire.  In her owns words, this is what she enjoyed: Tootling on the lake with her favorite people, making people laugh, sitting outside in the mornings drinking her coffee, and spending time with family and friends. She was of the Baptist faith and loved and was loved by everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brigette Easter, her father, Ronald Jarrett and stepmother, Catherine Jarrett, her stepfather, Donald Faulkner, her grandparents, Wilma Sith and Claude C. Smith, Ed and Geraldine Jarrett, and Carl and Dora Carson.

She is survived by one son, Marc D. Jarrett and his fiancée Lexie Ballard of Harrisburg, her mother, Kay Faulkner of Harrisburg, her stepmother, Faye Jarrett of Colt, her sister, Misty McGuire and her husband James of Jonesboro, one granddaughter, Addi Jarrett of Jonesboro, three nieces, Brooke McClain and her husband Braxton of Harrisburg, Destiny McGuire of Jonesboro and Emmy Shuburte of Harrisburg, a special soul sister, Janet DeVries of Harrisburg, and many other loving family and friends.

Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg with Rev. Michael Criner officiating.  Burial will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery.  Friends may visit at the funeral home Tuesday Evening , 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers will be James McGuire, Ryan Mooney, Junior Criner, Gregg Lovell, Jessie Easter and Ron Hunter.
