Mrs. Linda Marie Keeton of Harrisburg, Arkansas, departed this life Saturday, July 14, 2018, at her home, at the age of 67.
She was born April 25, 1951 in Harrisburg, the daughter of the late Willie King and Lura Smith King.
Linda was a 1969 graduate of Harrisburg High School and later attended the Votech School in Marked Tree. She began her funeral service secretarial career with Jackson\u0027s Funeral Home in Harrisburg in 1972 and worked there until 2004. She then worked for Gregg-Weston Funeral Home until 2013, when her health required her to retire. She served the people of Harrisburg and Poinsett County for 41 years. She possessed one of the most kind and soft hearts that anyone has ever had. The funeral profession truly was her calling. She married Harley Keeton on March 8, 1980 and they enjoyed 38 years together. She loved to read and was a huge Elvis Presley fan. She was a member of the Willis Chapel Pentecostal Church.
In addition to her parents, Willie and Lura King, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy King and a nephew, William Bryant. She is survived by her husband, Harley Keeton of the home, two sisters, Eula Cleveland and Mary Bryant (David), both of Harrisburg, two nieces, Amanda Cleveland and Tara Bryant, both of Harrisburg, a sister-in-law, Peggy King of Trumann and a brother-inb-law, Terry Keeton of Morton, AR.
Funeral Services are set for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg with Rev. Gene Bogard officiating. Her body will be entombed at Jonesboro Memorial Park Mausoleum following services. Friends may visit at the funeral home Tuesday evening, July 17, 2018, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
