Jonesboro- Linda Carrol Jordan, 73, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.

She was born May 17, 1948 in Jonesboro to the late Arthur Powell and Ellen Powell Cox. Linda retired from Clopton Clinic and worked at DuPont from their opening until they closed. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. Linda enjoyed camping, crafting, and watching her grandkids play sports and band. Her grandkids and great-grandkids were her joy!

She was also preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Larry Don Jordan; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leston and Imogene Jordan and brother-in-law, Jerry Jordan.

She is survived by her daughters, Darlene Leonard (Matt Sr.) and Christie Long (Ryan); siblings, Dewayne Powell (Sandy), Danny Powell (Debbie Stegall), Kenny Cox (Susan), Donna Ross (Joe), Annette Lynn (Ronnie), Robin Mouzy (Mark) and Dianne Barnes; grandchildren, Matthew Leonard Jr (Holly), Samantha Leonard, Kaitlyn Norton (Andy) and Spencer Long; great-grandchildren, Robert Lee Leonard and Lucas Roy Davis; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

A celebration of her life will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be private.
