Obituary

Pocahontas- Lillian "Dolly" Whitney, 90 was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 26, 1924 was granted her angel wings on October 7, 2014. Dolly is survived by daughter, Kay (Dale) Eatmon of Las Vegas, Nevada, two granddaughters, Amy Yates of Pocahontas and Tracy Carson of Las Vegas, Nevada, Five great grandchildren; Haley Poe Yates, Trey Watters, Cheyenne Carson, Whitney Yates and Dalton Yates, her beloved sister-in-law Jerri Goodwin and many nieces and nephews in Randolph County. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob of 64 years and her parents Rafael LeRoy and Gertrude Bessie Devine Kniep. Dolly spread sunshine and love to everyone she met. She loved music and enjoyed the Friday night dances with her friends. She was a Sunday school teacher for over 40 years at Mundelein United Methodist Church. She will be missed, but her loving and joyful spirit will live on in each of our hearts, as we were blessed by her presence. Services will be held in McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends Monday, October 13, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held the following day on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Scott Wedding officiating. Burial will follow in the Maynard Cemetery.
