Lewis Ewing Larsen, 75, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, died October 12th at the Fayetteville Veterans Home. He was born April 22, 1932 to Sivert Larsen and Betty M. Jones in Nashville, TN. He was in the U.S. Navy from 1950-54 serving as an Aviation Machinists Mate Third Class. He married Mary Jo Gillespie of Paris, TN on Sept. 8th, 1957. He graduated from the University of Tennessee - Martin with a B.S. and a Masters in Agricultural Engineering. He served on the faculty at UTM. Mr. Larsen was the first faculty advisor of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity at UTM. The Larsen family moved to Pocahontas, Arkansas in 1969. He founded and operated an aluminum and steel fabrication business from 1969 until 1993. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo Larsen, his parents, Sivert Larsen and Betty Jo Jones, and his sister, Margaret Robinson. He is survived by his son, Carl Larsen of Eureka Springs, AR; his daughter Beth Lewis and her husband Todd Lewis of Springdale, AR; and his grandchild, Emma Lewis. Visitation will be held at McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas, AR on Sunday, October 14th from 5:00-7:00 pm. Graveside services will be at The New Beaver Dam Cemetery in Paris, TN on Monday, October 15th at 1:00 pm.
