L. Ray Pickle, 86, passed from this life on September 20, 2026. Born June 30, 1940, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Ray was the son of the late Raymond and Ruby Irwin Pickle.

Ray spent his career with Boeing Aircraft, where he worked faithfully until his retirement. Outside of work, he enjoyed the simple joys that made life full such as bass fishing, time outdoors, and especially going on cruises, which he absolutely loved. He was also a regular attendee of Walnut Grove Church, where he found fellowship and comfort.

Ray is survived by his son, Rob (Suzie) Pickle of Las Vegas, Nevada; his nephew, Justin Byers of Paragould; and his sisters‑in‑law, Linda Byers of Paragould and Mary (Bob) Caldwell of Lake City.

Services will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Walnut Grove Church, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Albert Mullens will officiate. Burial will follow at Kellers Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Gregg‑Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Justin Byers, Mike Bishop, Jamie Seaborn, Brian Arnold, Tomy Johnson, and Don Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.
