Paragould- Marie Dunkerson, 85, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. She was born February 3, 1930 in Viola to the late Lessie and Pearlie Fout. She retired from American Greeting after 35 years. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed singing. She is survived by her two sons and their wives, James and Marka Dunkerson of Paragould and Eddie and Ginny Dunkerson of Jonesboro; a brother, Robert Brown of Viola; three sisters, Lavora East of St. Louis, Coleen Thompson of Paragould and Rebecca Boatman of Caraway; three granddaughters, Tammy Russell of Osceola, Gena Shelhamer and husband Scott of Bartlett, Tenn and Kim McDonald of St. Louis; three great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Dunkerson; a brother and five sisters. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be 10:00 am Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Caraway Cemetery with Rev. Rick Stevens officiating under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette. There will be no visitation.
