Pocahontas- Leora Elizabeth Penn, 90, Passed away Sunday October 27, 2013 at Five Rivers Medical Center. She was born December 14, 1922 in the Manson Community to the late Thomas Locard Stayton and Leota Lena Wallace. She is survived by Children; Thomas Cooper of Pocahontas, AR, Ronnie (Janieca) Penn of Hong Kong R.O.C., Frankie (Patsy) Penn of Pocahontas, AR, very special friend and former daughter-in-law Vera Cooper of Pocahontas, AR. Eight grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren. She leaves behind no siblings, but one sister-in-law, Geraldine Stayton of Randolph Nursing Home and her children, Pete, Leon, Joe Stayton and Lucy Broadway. Precede in death by; Father Thomas Locard Stayton, mother Leota Lena (Wallace) Stayton, husband Hulen Penn, brother Thomas (Junior) Stayton, and grandson David Jason Cooper. Elizabeth (MaBeck) leaves many friends. She was always ready to lend a helping hand or sympathetic shoulder. Favorite among her activities was cooking. She also received much joy from anything she was able to do with her plants and flowers. She was a member of the Pyburn Street Church of Christ. The family ask that memorials be made to the Paragould Children's Home. Pallbearers: Mike Dunn, Byron Futrell, Joe Stayton, Wayne Broadway, Sherley Johnson, Jimmy Lewis. Honorary pallbearers: Thomas Stayton, Leon Stayton and Max Long. Visitation will be Friday Novermber 1, 2013 from 10:00-1:00 P.M., Funeral services will follow at 1:00 P.M. in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery.
