Mr. Leamon Wilson Burns of Harrisburg, departed this life Sunday, January 15, 2017, near Harrisburg, following an ATV accident. He was 33 years old.
He was born March 22, 1983 in Memphis, TN, the son of Donald Burns and Judy Jackson Burns.
Leamon loved to read, hunt, and fish. A former worker for Rice-Well, he loved well drilling. He married his wife Sonya on August 31, 2012 and they enjoyed 4 years together.
He is survived by his father, Donald Burns of Marianna, his mother, Judy Burns of Harrisburg, His Wife, Sonya Burns of Harrisburg, the man he called daddy, Daniel McKellar of Harrisburg, a man he called dad, Dave Carleton of Mt. Home, three children, Kevin Oneil McCorkle of Wynne, Brandon E. McCorkle of Harrisburg, and Walter David Leon Russom of Imboden, seven grandchildren, one great god-daughter, Faith "Tick-Turd" Davis, one great god-son, Caden Edward Michael Baker, and four sisters, Rebecca Burns of West Memphis, Donna Burns of Marianna, Destiny Burns of Marianna, and Desiree Burns of Marianna.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Thursday evening, January 19th, at 7:00 p.m., at the Cross Chapel Baptist Church, with Rev. Paul Peters officiating. Gregg-Weston Funeral Home of Harrisburg is in charge of arrangements. Friends will gather just prior to services.
