L.E. Vaughn, 90, of Bono, passed away June 1, 2025.

He was a loving son, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather. He loved all of his family deeply. He had a host of nieces and nephews; he treasured every moment he spent with his family and friends. L.E. was born on November 10, 1934 in Black Oak, AR to Lewis and Dona Vaughn. He was the youngest of 9 siblings. After graduating high school from Egypt, AR, his first job was helping to build Riceland Foods in Jonesboro. He continued to work in Jonesboro at GE while also farming in Egypt until he was able to retire from GE to become a full-time farmer. He raised many crops plus cattle, served on the Cache River Drainage District, and was named Craighead County Farm Family of the Year in 1977. L.E. was a loving, caring man always looking out for his family, friends, and community. He was a School Board member at Westside for 12 years. He was a member of Egypt Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School Director for many years. He had a profound compassion for others that aligned with God's principles. His hobbies were gardening, fishing, hunting, and helping others. L.E. especially enjoyed the weekly meals and conversations he shared with Katelynn Russell. He loved her dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Tonda Temorio, his grandson Ryan Williams, his brothers Willis Vaughn, Ruble Vaughn, Carlton "Sonny" Vaughn, and Marvin Vaughn, his sisters Essie Phipps, Mary Ruth Wilson, Bunice Montgomery, Imogene Johnson, and Betty Statler.
