Imboden - L.D. Anderson, 80, passed away September 28, 2009 at St. Benards Medical Center. Born May 29, 1929 in Opposition, AR to the late Addison Anderson and Lorene Bragg. He is preceded in death by first wife, Rochelle (Lee) Anderson. Mother and Father and two brothers, Lauren and Larry Bragg. He is survived by wife, Karen Anderson of the home. Five daughters; Sheree (John) Hamm of Imboden, Sheila Ford of Pocahontas, Sonja (Buddy) Smith of Cherokee Village, Brenda (Mike) Burriss of Cedar Hill, TX, and Robyn (Phillip) Farrell of Texas. Son, David (Kelly) Kershaw of Denton, TX. Two grandsons; Justin Hamm and Brandon Ford. In additional too, 6 granddaughters, and 2 grandsons and 2 great grandsons. Sister, Glenda (Bob) Verkler of Ridgedale, MO. Mother-in-law, Ruba (Poncy) of Mt. Home, AR. He was a WWII and Korea Veteran. He was a former Ravenden City Council, president and school board member of Sloan Hendrix and a member of the Lawrence County Hospital board. He also was a former Sears Century Club Member. Also, was a life time Ravenden Church of Christ member and treasurer of the Church. He was the founding member of Ravenden Fire Department And he also was the Chairman of the Democratic Party of Lawrence County. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. All who knew him will miss him. Service will be held Thursday, October 01, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Burial will follow to Randolph Memorial Gardens with A.G. Stracener officiating. Visitation will be held before the service on Thursday from 1-2. Pallbearers included: Justin Hamm, Brandon Ford, David Kershaw, David Morgan, John Hamm, and Buddy Smith. Honorary Pallbearers: Lawrence Bragg, Don Ford, Jim and Jerry Wells, Larry Gibbons, Randy Leonard, Jack Dail, Weston Meeks, Bob Verkler, and Wendell Morris.
