Mr. L.C.M. Kincaid of Jonesboro, formerly of Harrisburg, departed this life Saturday, May 8, 2021, at his home in Jonesboro, at the age of 83.
He was born September 6, 1937 in Franklin, TN, the son of the late Henry Richard Kincaid and Ida Mai Scott Kincaid.
L.C. was a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served 21 years. He married Lou McCoy on February 3, 1961 and they enjoyed 57 years together before her death on May 8, 2018. From 1976-2003, L.C. owned and operated Kincaid Home Service. He was a former instructor at Delta Vo-Tech in Marked Tree. He was very active in the American Legion and was instrumental in starting the Annual Easter Egg Hunt. He was a former Harrisburg Hornet Athletic Booster and ran the concession stand for many years. He loved Harrisburg and all the friendships he built there.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Richard Kincaid and Ida Mai Scott Kincaid, his wife, Lou McCoy Kincaid, three brothers, Paul Mitchell Kincaid, Leonard Jones Kincaid, and Luten B. Kincaid, and one sister, Alma Criswell.
He is survived by one daughter, Connie Lynn Philler of Oklahoma City, OK, three sons, Randall Dean Kincaid of Oklahoma City, Lawrence Craig Kincaid of Birmingham, AL and Richard Allen Kincaid (Sissy) of Jonesboro, seven grandchildren, Michal Paul Yancey, Cody Allen Yancey, Morgan Kincaid, Zachary Kincaid, Matthew Kincaid, Artie Reams (Randi) and Michelle Skaggs, and six great grandchildren, Madison, Reese, Sophia Reams, Marshall Reams, Jayden Skaggs, Colton Kincaid and Peyton Kincaid.
Funeral services are set for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg with Cody Yancey doing the Eulogy. Burial with full military honors will follow at the AR State Veterans Cemetery at Birdeye. Friends may visit at the funeral home, Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. till service time.
