Obituary

Mr. Lawrence E. "TomTom" Addington, of Fisher, departed this life Friday, June 19, 2015, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, at the age of 58. He was born August 4, 1956 in Newport, Arkansas. TomTom, as he was known, enjoyed spending time at Woodbriar Nursing Home and helping care for the elderly. He always brought a smile and cheer to the face of the residents there. He played Santa Claus for over 25 years for the people in Poinsett County and could be found yearly at the Harrisburg Christmas Parade. One of his favorite things to do was going to town with his father, J.W. Davis. TomTom was preceded in death by his father, J.W Davis and his mother, Lenora Earls Davis. He is survived by one sister, Mary Beth Thompson (Rayburn) of Fisher and one special niece, Sara Beth Thompson. He is also survived by two half- sisters, Sherry Wright and Natlie Duncan, three half-brothers, Wilburn Addington, Carol Addington, and Marcus Addington, and numerous other nieces and nephews. Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Fisher Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Monday evening, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will include Homer Don Anschultz, Rayburn Thompson, James Murrell, David Owens, Mark Weston and Ray Blanchard.
