Jonesboro- Lawanda Mae Minton, 90, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.

She was born October 8, 1930 in Lake City to the late Fred and Pearlie Lewis Wood. Mrs. Minton was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Gibson (Larry) of Bono; sister Martha Slawson (Bill) of Paris, TX; granddaughter, Alyssa Ishmael (Randell) of Bono; grandson, Josh Gibson (Mariah) of Bono; great-granddaughters, Nora Ishmael, Wren Gibson and a host of other family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Minton Sr.; mother, Pearlie Wood; father, Fred Wood; daughter, Gail R. Minton; son , Harold E. Minton Jr,; sister, Mary Lee and brother Harold Wood.

Services will be held at Gregg-Langford Bookout on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 2 p.m.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. until time of service.

Burial will follow at Old Enterprise Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Randell Ishmael, Josh Gibson, Michael Gibson, and Keenan Gibson.

All attendees must wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines.
