Jonesboro- LaVerne Long Clark, 95, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021.

She was born June 12, 1925 in Nettleton. She was the daughter of Icie Mae and Andrew Dalton Long. LaVerne was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church for sixty-eight years. Her hobbies were sewing, gardening, art projects, bingo, and playing card games with her friends. Her family and friends will miss her.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hershel Clark and son, Donnie.

Her children are Dr. Ronald Clark, (Patricia Ward) of California and Tina Cook (Bill), of Jonesboro. She adored her eight grandchildren who are Ron Clark, Jr., Bryan Clark, Kristin Vaughn, Kimberly Jennings all of California, Lindsay Dockins of Batesville, Laura Brown and Austin Cook, of Jonesboro, and Kyle Cook of Little Rock. She was also blessed with eighteen great-grandchildren.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2021 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. John Miles II officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until time of service at the cemetery.

All attendees must wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines.
