Brookland- Laura Kathryn Stoker, 87, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at NEA Baptist Hospital.

She was born June 14, 1930 to the late Walter and Cecil Davis Coffman. She was a member of the Brookland Baptist Church. She loved to read the Bible with her children. Kathryn enjoyed working in her flowers, going to flea markets, doing word games and puzzles and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Gail Reed Simpson; a sister, Othella Vaughn; a brother, Martin Coffman, twelve grandchildren, Heather Shelton M. D., Tiffany Webb, Bridget Anshultz, Nicholas Reed, Neil Stoker, Tim Gnade, Wendy Gnade, Stephanie Simpson, Sarah Russell, Mary Foust, Joseph Gandy and Stephen Simpson; fifteen great-grandchildren, Hunter Reed, Danny Reed, James Webb IV, Joshua Paul, Hayley Foust, Jensen Russell, Sarena Russell, Blade Gandy, Kyleigh Simpson, Kacen Simpson, Colin Stoker, Mika Hutchins, Jonathan Gnade, Christopher Gnade and Austin Gnade; four great-great-grandchildren, Emma Paul, Addisyn Paul, Ryker Gnade and Gavin Simmons.

She is also preceded in death by her husbands, J. B. Reed and Dale Stoker; a son, Danny Reed; a daughter, Susan Stoker Gnade; step-mother, Bell Coffman; four brothers, Walter Coffman, Louis Coffman, Van Coffman and Richard Coffman; three sisters, Helen Coffman, Anna Sonlitner and Glenna Jenkins.

A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from noon until time of service Sunday at the funeral home.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Joshua Paul, Jonathan Gnade, Jensen Russell, Colin Stoker, Christopher Gnade and Blade Gandy.
