Laura Lavern Nelson Baker, 78, of Pocahontas AR, passed away January 3rd, 2023 at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center.

Laura was born March 23, 1944 in Blytheville, AR. to the late William Curtis Nelson and Avie Evelyn Mason.

Laura loved horses and enjoyed horseback riding and shopping. Laura was of the Baptist faith,serving as a Pastor's wife with Bro. Jerry Baker Sr since 1972.  Laura was part of a group that sang in Church, She made a CD of songs,and Laura never met a person she didn't ask about their Salvation.

Laura was preceded in death by her Parents and Husband: Bro.Jerry Baker Sr. Doctor of Theology;
Sisters: Juanita Nelson, Josephine "Jo" Nelson, Mary Williams, and Linda Miller;
Brothers : Bobby Nelson and Jerry Nelson.

Laura is survived by her Children:
Sandra Baker (Wayne Ellis)of Cordova, TN., Becky (Steve)Calcote of Magnolia, TX., Jerry (Andrea) Baker of Pocahontas, AR.

Grandchildren, Laura (Brad) West of Wynne, AR. ; Michelle (Brian) Nesbitt of Paragould, AR. : Tommy Woods Jr. (Johnathan)of Paragould, AR. :Kendra Bennett (Daniel) of Houston, TX., Morgan (Jacob) Baker of Pocahontas, AR. :Trey Baker of Pocahontas, AR.

Great Grandchildren: Sadie (Andrew) Harris, Riley West, Madison McCamey, River Nesbitt, Kinzley Bennett, Colin Tomlinson, Laken Rice, Ally Tomlinson

Visitation will be Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Tommy Garrish officiating.
Burial will follow in Maynard Cemetery.
