Launa Lucille Amos, 92, of Pocahontas passed away June 14, 2021, at her home in Pocahontas.

Launa was born on November 18, 1928, to the late John and Divie Strickland McCormick in St. Louis, MO.
She was retired from Brown Shoe Company and was in the first graduating class of Greene County Tech High School in Paragould, AR. Launa was a member of the Red Hat Ladies, VFW Auxilary, American Legion Auxilary and was a member of First Baptist Church in Pocahontas. Launa was also a former Southern Baptist singer of what is now WBU and was fortunate to sing with the Billy Graham Choir in St. Louis.

Launa was preceded in death by her husband Willard Amos; her parents, John and Divie McCormick; brother Robert McCormick and sister Willidene McCormick, grandson David Corballis.

Launa is survived by her daughter Mona (Allan) Saala of Pocahontas and daughter Pat Corballis of Bryant; granddaughters Natasha (Chris) Wheeler of Pocahontas, Shannon Corballis and Karen Corballis of Bryant; great grandchildren Sydney Saala-Thielemier of Little Rock, Kaitlin, David and John Corballis of Bryant, Brianna, Addison and Brett Wheeler of Pocahontas; great great grandson Reggie White, Jr; siblings Joe (Judy) McCormick of Spring Hill, TN, sisters-in-law Marilise McCormick of Carbondale, IL, Betty Allison of Tuscon, AZ and Janelle Amos of St. Louis, MO.; many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday June 17 in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be Friday June 18 at 11:00 a.m. in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel with Ron Amos officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Gardens.
