Jonesboro- Larry Eugene Wilson Sr., 74, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020 at St. Bernards Medical Center.

He was born September 11, 1946 in Lake City to the late Woodrow and Opal Wilson. Mr. Wilson served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and retired from the Arkansas National Guard. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son and grandsons and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Nathan Wilson; a daughter, Sherry Wilson Vaughn; a brother, Joe Wilson; two sisters, Phyllis Wilson Ross and Lafaye Wilson.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Jewel Ross Wilson; a son, Larry Wilson Jr. (Kristin); two sisters, Donna Ballard (Tony) of Hot Springs and Donice Berkemey (Glenn) of Menifee and a brother, Jim Wilson (Lavana) of Portageville, MO; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

A celebration of his life will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chad Woods officiating. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are his grandsons and grandsons-in-law.

All attendees must wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines.
