Obituary

Mr. Larry Clay Walker, of Harrisburg, departed this life Friday, October 30, 2015, in Jonesboro, at the age of 68. He was born January 18, 1947 in Tennessee, the son of the late Roy C. Walker and Hazel D. Claybrough Walker. Larry was self employed in the Cable Installation business. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the U.S. Army Special Forces. He enjoyed shopping, bowling and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Mike Walker. He is survived by his wife, Shawnda Walker of Marked Tree, AR, three daughters, Whitley Smith of Harrisburg, Shelbi Emberton of Marked Tree, and Tiffany Dixon of Harrisburg, one brother, Steve Walker of West Columbia, TX, four sisters, Linda Martin of Burleson, TX, Sharon Grebe of Shreveport, LA, Patricia Evans of Burleson, TX and Kathy Jones of Odessa, TX, and five grandchildren. Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg. Interment will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday evening, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
