Mr. Larry Eddie Hare of Bono, Arkansas, formerly of Hardy, departed this life on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at the Flo Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 67. He was born April 13, 1946 in Little Brown, Arkansas, the son of Harold Eddie Hare and Delia Amanda Clinton Hare. Larry was a factory worker most of his life and enjoyed fishing and working on things. He developed a passion for whittling and enjoyed this throughout most of his life. Larry was one of 13 children and although he was born in Arkansas, he spent many years in Illinois and then moved back to Arkansas later in life. He married Reta Hancock Walls on March 20, 1998 and they enjoyed 15 years together. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Eddie Hare and Delia Amanda Hare and two brothers, Ricky John Hare and Donnie Hare. He is survived by his wife, Reta Hare of Bono, Arkansas, two daughters, Tammy Woods and Crystal Rogers, both of Rockford, Illinois, two stepsons, Steven Walls and Jerry Walls, both of Bono, Arkansas, five sisters, Evelyn McKinney of Rockford, Illinois, Beverly Allison of Belvedere, Illinois, Ellen Eichstedd of Colorado, Kathy Whitson of Belvedere, Illinois and Mary Stegg of Shelbyville, Tennessee, six brothers, Paul Hare of Pocahontas, Arkansas, Gary Hare, Bill Hare, Ray Hare, and Marvin Hare, all of Rockford, Illinois, and ten grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg, Arkansas, with Rev. Mike Stanley officiating. Interment will follow in Bolivar Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Saturday morning, 9:00 a.m. till service time.
