Jonesboro- Larry Foster, 69, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at Flo \u0026 Phil Jones Hospice House.
He was born November 13, 1947 in Harrisburg to the late Lee and Notra Amos Foster. He was a 1966 Jonesboro High School graduate and a retired insurance agent. He served his country proudly in the United States Army and was a highly decorated disabled Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Larry enjoyed watching Alabama football, gardening and raising chickens.
He is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Michelle and Charles Haring and Shelly and Alex Cristee all of Jonesboro; two grandchildren, Cameron Haring and Londyn Cristee; a great-grandson, Asher Haring.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Foster and two sisters and a brother.
A graveside service to celebrate his life will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Pine Log Cemetery with Mitch Ford officiating. Interment will follow with military honors.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, Monday, September 18, 2017 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
