Obituary

Pocahontas - Lambert Herman Jansen, 87, of Pocahontas passed away Monday, July 22, 2019 at his home.

He was born December 24, 1931 in Pocahontas to the late Andrew Sr \u0026 Mary Nuce Jansen.

Lambert was a member of the Knights of Columbus, played ball for Brown Shoe Company, was a Boy Scout leader, delivered meals on wheels, and drove the school bus for St. Paul School. He was also an Army veteran.

Lambert was a deeply religious man who loved the church, attended mass regularly and helped with St. Paul's Charitable Trust Fund.

He was a good husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

Lambert is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Andrew, Frank and Pat Jansen; sisters, Mary G. Nye, Ellen Goodwin, and Patsy Baltz; son, Scott Dawson; and grandson, Nick Dawson.

He is survived by his wife Charlotte of the home; children, Teresa (Anthony) Robinson of Newport, Linda (Fred) Fleming of Jonesboro, Joseph Jansen of Pocahontas, and Paul (Melinda) Dawson of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Eric (Kelli) Robinson of Morrilton, John (Brittany) Robinson of Jonesboro, Isabella, Luke, Jacob and Blakley Jansen of Pocahontas, Matt (Allie) Dawson of Pocahontas, Kristen (Matt) Callahan of Walnut Ridge, Zackary Dawson of Atlanta, GA; sister in law Alice Jansen of Pocahontas, many Great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

All services will be held at Saint Paul Catholic Church. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-7 PM with a Rosary being said at 7 PM. Funeral mass will be Thursday morning at 10 AM with Father Stephen Elser officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include: Eric Robinson, John Robinson, Josh Jones, Bryan Busick, Robert Counts, and Britt Frankenberger.

Honorary Pallbearers Include: Johnny Walker, David Jansen, Raul Blasini, Dr Drew Jansen, Jim Bergman, and John Wicker.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Paul Catholic School or to the charity of the donor's choice.
