Jonesboro- Kent Jairo Rivera, 35, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 in Memphis.
He was born September 4, 1982 in Los Angeles, California to Felipe and Marianna Rivera. He was a painter and attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He enjoyed family cookouts and loved his family.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Rivera; his parents, Felipe and Marianna Rivera; six children, Santos Rivera, Jasmine Rivera, Rachel Rivera, Benjamin Rivera, Phillip Rivera and Samantha Rivera; three sisters, Naomi Dorren (Evan) of Germany, Rosie Roades (Jason) of Bono and Vanessa Valdillez of Jonesboro; a brother, Brian Rivera of Jonesboro; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 pm, Friday, October 13, 2017 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home with Rosary at 7:00 pm.
A celebration of his life will be 10:00 am Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Catholic Newman Center at Arkansas State University with Father Vu officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Brian Rivera, Pedro Rivera, Anthony Roades, Sander Alberto, Alexis Alberto, Jason Roades, Milton Diaz and Gilberto Hernandez.
