Brookland- Kenneth "Pete" Williams, 53, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born October 8, 1961 in Jonesboro. He attended Woods Chapel Baptist Church. Mr. Williams retired from Hytrol after 27 years and will be remembered as a loving son, father, brother and grandfather. He is survived by his mother, Mary Passmore of Brookland; his children, Kevin Williams of Brookland and Melissa Bickers (Ian) of Pocahontas; a grandson, Bennett Bickers; four brothers, Billy Williams (Candy) of Omaha, NE, Hershel Williams of Jonesboro, James Williams (Karen) and Mitchell Williams (Susie) all of Brookland; two sisters, Janet Barber (Gerald) of Jonesboro and Hazel Hunt (Donny) of Sparta, Tenn; four step-brothers and three step-sisters and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Ausber Williams and step-father, W. A. Passmore. A celebration of his life will be 10:00 am Friday, January 9, 2015 at Gregg- Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Ricky Hathcoat officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home at 300 W. Matthews Ave. in Jonesboro. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jeremy Williams, Jason Williams, Todd Williams, Daniel Barber, Jeremy Gibbs and Andy Metcalf.
