Mr. Kenneth Wayne Richey, of Jonesboro, departed this life Friday, December 5, 2014, at his home, at the age of 49. He was born September 26, 1965 in Batesville, and was a graduate of Nettleton High School. Following high school he attended the Art Institute of Houston. Before becoming disabled, he was a CNA at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould. He was an artist and loved to paint. He also loved fishing and competed in lots of tournaments. His biggest pleasure was his love for the Pittsburg Steelers. He was an avid fan and loyal supporter. He is survived by his mother and step father, Gail and Tom Cottingham of Jonesboro, his father, Jerry Richey of Bono, five brothers, Tony Weaver (Missy) of Bono, Darren Weaver of Jonesboro, Jonathan Cottingham (Emily) of Jonesboro, Heath Richey of Bono, and Shane Richey of Bono, his grandfather, Bud Glasco of Jonesboro, several nieces and nephews that he considered his kids, Brianna Letner, A.J. Weaver, Josh Weaver, Alexis Weaver, Jaden Cottingham, Mason Cottingham, Cole Cottingham, Kenzlie Woodward, and Xander Letner, all of Jonesboro, two aunts, Marcia Walters of Jonesboro and Joanne Record of Las Vegas, NV, and numerous cousins. Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Christian Valley Christian Church with Pastor Mitch Ford officiating. Interment will follow in Godwin Cemetery at Saffell, under the direction of Gregg Landford-Bookout Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Friends may visit at the funeral home Monday evening, 5:00-7:00 p.m. Those serving as pallbearers will be Darren Weaver, Jonathan Cottingham, Tony Weaver, Jeff Taylor, Chris Coggins, Bobby Webb, Jay Powers and Tory Riley.
