Kenneth Gambill, 87, of Jonesboro, passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 30, 2025. Born March 5, 1938, to John Milton and Cora Maude Booher Gambill, he was the last son of ten siblings. A graduate of Greene County Tech, Kenneth moved to Michigan, where he met the love of his life, Roberta "Bunny" Miller. They married on Nov. 23, 1957, and shared 55 devoted years until her passing in 2013. After retiring in 2001, Kenneth returned to Arkansas, having worked in various factory jobs throughout his career. He was a member of Forrest Home Nazarene Church and a former member of Adrian First Church of the Nazarene in Michigan.
He is survived by three daughters: Karen (James) Alverson of Adrian, Michigan; Krystal (Robert) Schamberger of Sand Creek, Michigan, and Kara (Williester) Black of Jonesboro.
Kenneth was a proud grandfather to 11 grandchildren: Tyler (Becca Lett) Wonderly, Kiley (Gary Parsons) Wonderly, Kaitlyn (Judson) Black, Jacob Schamberger, Kelcie Ross, Luke Schamberger, Karstyn Black, Willyhanna Black, Willleyiah Black, Allison (Eric) Love, and Jessica (Mike Ward) Alverson. He also leaves behind five great-grandchildren: Kenley Carter, Harper Black, Jonathan Love, Isaac Love, and Sylvia Ward; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, at 12 pm at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel, followed by services at 2 pm with Rev. Pete Kline officiating. Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are grandsons and sons-in-law, Tyler Wonderly, Williester Black, Robert Schamberger, Jacob Schamberger, Luke Schamberger, and Judson Black.
Lasting memorials may be made to the Shiloh Cemetery Fund.
