Miss Kayna Brooke Gardner of Harrisburg, departed this life early Sunday morning, October 21, 2018, in Jonesboro, at the age of 18.

She was born in Jonesboro, October 21, 2000, the daughter of Jason and Brandy Murphy Gardner.

Kayna was a senior at Harrisburg High School and a member of the Girls Volleyball Team. She loved fishing and going to the beach, talking on the phone and riding around with her friends. She was active with the youth group at First United Methodist Church, where she attended.

She is survived by her parents, Jason and Brandy Gardner of the home; one sister Chelsea Gardner of Harrisburg; one brother, Walker Gardner of Harrisburg; her grandparents, Paul Murphy of Heber Springs, Tommye McNamara (Larry) of Jonesboro, Marc Rogers (Becky) of Jonesboro; one uncle, Shane Murphy of Vancouver, WA; one cousin, Trey Murphy of Vancouver, WA; one nephew, Kyler Fallon of Harrisburg; one great uncle, Terry Biggs (Patty) of Harrisburg; great aunts, Ella Riggs of Heber Springs, Sandy Hicks, of Jonesboro, Patricia Hicks of Memphis, TN, Lynette Ward (John) of Milton, FL; great cousins, Brynn Reddmann (Dax) and family and Clint Biggs and daughter Addy, all of Harrisburg and some very close friends, Josh and Paige Neldon and family of Jonesboro, Annette Stevenson (Jim) of Hot Springs and Valerie Carpenter of West Memphis.

She was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Sally Murphy; a grandfather, Jimmy Dale Gardner and a great aunt, Rachel Biggs.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, November 3rd, 4:00 p.m., at the Harrisburg High School Fine Arts Building, with Rev. Clark Atkins officiating.
