Harrisburg- Katherine "Katy" Pauline Hutchison, 79, passed away Friday, March 4, 2016 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born September 15, 1936 in Harrisburg to the late John and Emma Ziegerer Kocher. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. She had been the owner and operator of Goodyear in Harrisburg for many years and had been with Playschool Day Care for twenty-four years. Katy enjoyed watching ballgames, yard work, being around children and dancing and loved her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Steve Hutchison (Sharon) of Memphis, John Hutchison (Karen) of Harrisburg and Maurie Lashlee of Memphis; six grandchildren, Leigh Adams (Felipe) of Austin, Texas, Emaly Stonecipher (Eric), Alissa Witt (Zac) and Andria Davis (Zach) all of Harrisburg and Evan Swift (Michelle) of Memphis; five great-grandchildren, Jody Cox (Kristen) of Memphis, Lucas Adams and Lela Adams both of Austin, Emilia Stonecipher and Everett Stonecipher; two great-great-grandsons, Brayden Cox and Zeke Cox and a host of nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Joe T. Hutchison; granddaughter, Christy Lashlee; a brother, Tommy Kocher and a sister, Rosa Pauline. A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm Monday, March 7, 2016 at Gregg- Weston Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Waldenburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 pm, Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Gregg- Weston Funeral Home. Honored to serve as pallbearers are John Hutchison, Steve Hutchison, Eric Stonecipher, Zac Witt, Zach Davis, Harold Kocher, Barry Massengill, Andy Terrell and Perry Cooper and as honorary pallbearers, the Staff of Playschool Daycare 1992- present, Hilton Hurdle, Bob Harris, Donnie Ray Winningham, Jim Flemming, Jim Jim Butler, Carey Dodds, Larry Carroll, Scotty Cole, Johnny Carroll, Ron Hunter, Clark Hubbard, Mark Morgan, Dennis Burnett, Danny Redd, J B Reddmann and Luke Massengill. Lasting memorials may be sent to Ms. Katy's Memorial Fund at 1st National Bank in Harrisburg to build a storm shelter at Playschool Daycare in Harrisburg.
