Katie Jane Lewis Johnston of Jonesboro, formally of Harrisburg, departed this life on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at the Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro, at the age of 77.

She was born July 5, 1949, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the daughter of Ervin and Mattie Lewis.

Katie was a LPN, and worked for Three Rivers Nursing Home for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Mattie as well as her husband, Bobby Joe Johnston.

Katie is survived by her stepchildren; Melissa and Jim Greuel, Tonya and Chris Haggard and Melanie and Cory Golliver. Eleven step grandchildren; Samantha Brumley, Jacob Brumley, Taylor Stevens, Tyler Haggard, Taylor Mathis, Trisha Land, Kim West, Austin Golliver, Nick Golliver, Chase Golliver and Landon Golliver. Sixteen Great step grandchildren. There will be no services. Interment will be at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
