Obituary

JONESBORO " Kathy Ann Honnoll, beloved daughter of John Albert and Maudean Williams Honnoll, Sr., sister to John A. Honnoll, Jr (Mary Kathy) and W. Danny Honnoll ( Teressa) was set free from her earthly little body on Tuesday , Valentine's Day February 14, 2017.

Kathy Ann was a descendent of one of Craighead County Pioneer Families. She is now getting to run and walk down streets of gold with her Heavenly Father. She was greeted in Heaven by her grandparents, James A. and Cordelia Poe Williams, and William W. and Rachel Pitts Honnoll, all formerly of Jonesboro. She will now be spending eternity with her beloved grandparents.

She was very proud of her nieces and nephews: Lisa Marie Silas (Ashton), Leah Honnoll, Bethany Ranae Hendrix (Nick), Drew Honnoll (Norizela) and Heather Nichole Honnoll and their children. She is also survived by her aunts Jimmie Carol Roy (Ron), Brenda Joyce Leonard (Royce) and Linda Sue Adair (Jim); a uncle, Dwight A. Williams; numerous living cousins and friends and a special cousin Christal D. "D.D." Adair.

There was no other person who expressed the joy of living like Kathy Ann could " no one who could give love as freely and genuinely as she did " and it was especially humbling to witness the unconditional love she extended to everyone she encountered, no matter who they were or what they had to offer. But for all of us who are left behind and no longer have the privilege of her presence, we are so, so sad. Kathy Ann never met anyone she didn't immediately love. And thankfully, Kathy Ann was loved by everyone she met.

Kathy Ann was born September 8, 1951, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. From birth she was weighted by the world's pains and challenges just to get around but always had a good outlook on life. If you had the honor of meeting her and getting to know her, you would have witnessed what a person at peace is like. Her countenance was marked by a joy for life. Unconditional love and forgiveness were the hallmarks of her character. Kathy Ann taught us about the real joy of life and she broke life down to its simplest meanings. Kathy Ann's earthly body was twisted and bent. Her real beauty shone through in her personality and smile.

"The Honnoll family wants to thank everyone for the heartfelt love, kindness and acceptance to Kathy Ann. The blessings and time you shared with Kathy Ann will always be precious to us. Kathy Ann had many wonderful physicians that helped make her life better and more comfortable. Thank you to them for their expertise and concern.

Our lives will not be the same without Kathy Ann, and there will be a huge loss without her presence. We will all miss her smiles, hugs and kisses. She was a special gift to our family from our loving Heavenly Father. It was His plan that brought Kathy Ann into our family. God only gives special needs children to very special families and ours was blessed every day to have her in our family.

Kathy was of the Baptist belief and attended the Nettleton Baptist Church.
She was special friends with the nuns at the Holy Angels Convent and visited them often.
She was known to her close friends as Sister Kathy Regina or SKR. A priest friend called her a Batholic because of her love of God and people.

Like her mother Maudean said while being treated for cancer. "I only know how to live, I do not know how to die". Kathy Ann only knew how to live and she lived life to its fullest.

She loved the veterans and attended numerous meeting to show her support.

She was a member of the James W. Honnoll Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, was a Maid of Honor in the Col. Robert G. Shaver Camp #1655 of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and was a First Sergeant with the 30th Ark Inf. living historians.
