Obituary

Kathryn L. (Pollock) Kildow was born on January 7, 1922, the second of nine children to Ira Dean Pollock and Ludie Mae (Glasgow) Pollock of Roff, Oklahoma passed into heaven on January 25, 2024 at the age of 102.

She married Jewell Lee Kildow on September 29, 1942, in Pocahontas, Arkansas. They added eight children, nineteen grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren to their family.

She was preceded by her husband, one child (Lloyd Russell, infant), one grandchild, one great-grandchild, her parents, one brother, and two sisters.

She is survived by her children, Robert Kildow and wife Louise, Jim Kildow and wife Nathalon, Jack Kildow and wife Lillie, Sandra Farmer and husband B.A., Cecil Kildow, Norman Kildow and wife Ellen, and Debbie Ford and husband Brent; four sisters, one brother, and a host of grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She had many accomplishments in her life, but there were two that she was most proud of. While her husband was serving overseas during World War II, she served at home working in the ammunition plant in McAlester, Oklahoma–sewing canvas bags for gunpowder. She also earned her GED with honors at the age of 73.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 12-2 PM at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale, AR with a funeral service at 2 PM with Pastor Stuart Estes officiating.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 1 PM at Antioch Cemetery at Hamil under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home of Pocahontas.
