Jonesboro - Kathryn Mae Garner Barnett, 86, passed away on the morning of March 2, 2022.

Kathryn was born December 15, 1935, in Antioch to Doris Epsie Harrison Garner and Vernon Elmer Garner. Mrs. Barnett graduated from Beebe High School in 1954 and Arkansas State College (now ASU-Beebe) in 1956 with an Associate degree, before moving to Memphis, Tennessee, and then to California. She returned to Jonesboro with her family in 1964. Mrs. Barnett was an avid reader of the Bible, enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking and played piano, and was a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Luann Barnett Williams of Austin, TX, Lisa Barnett, Kevin Barnett, Mike (Barbara) Barnett, Janet Barnett, John Barnett, all of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Andrew Barnett (Kathy), Amy Barnett, Jeffrey Barnett, Jessica Barnett, Will Barnett, Alyssa Barnett, and Kylie Belk (Joseph) and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Barnett is preceded in death by father, Vernon Elmer Garner; mother, Doris Epsie Harrison Garner, and brother, John Garner.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 12:00 Saturday, March 5, 2022, at the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home at 300 W. Matthews Ave. in Jonesboro.

Pastor Chad Wood will officiate at the graveside services at 1:00 pm Saturday at Pine Log Cemetery.
