Katheryn Loretta Provance, 82, of Piggott, AR., formerly of Maynard, AR., passed away on October 1, 2010 at 2:30 a.m. at Piggott Community Hospital of natural causes. She was born March 25, 1928 in Dalton, AR. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Provance of Piedmont, MO., her parents; Harvey and Mamie Avery of Maynard, AR. And one sister, Elsie McQuary of Lead Hill, AR. She is survived by one son, Charles E. Provance, Jr. Of Piggott, AR. One daughter-in-law, Karen P. Provance, also of Piggott. Two granddaughters; Heather Marie Suydam of Paragould, AR. And Ashley Ann Campbell of Springfield, MO. Two grandsons; Andrew LaTrey Provance, also of Piggott, and Andrew Chase Eugene Wilson of Riverton, KS. Four brothers; Jim Avery of Bryan, OH., Manley Avery of East Prairie, MO., Duell Avery of Maynard, AR., and Don Avery also of Maynard. Three sisters; Helen Peoples of Pocahontas, AR., Mary Allen of Springfield, MO., and Jeannie Avery of Harrison, AR. And numerous nieces and nephews. She attended Apostolic Church of Lord Jesus Christ in Maynard, AR. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going to church, sewing, gardening, and taking care of animals. She never met a stranger in her life. She had only one son, who she adopted at the age of 45, but she was considered a second mom by many. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 09, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Pete Avery officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her parents in Nelson Cemetery located in Attica, AR. directly after service. Visitation will be held Friday night from 5-7:00 p.m. also in the Chapel.
