Jonesboro- Katherine Jenkins Eades, 61, passed away March 13, 2013 at her residence. She was born on December 5, 1951 at Bowling Green, KY to the late Judson and Nellie Jenkins. Mrs. Eades was a 1969 graduate of Treadwell High School in Memphis and a 1974 graduate of University of Tennessee with a BA in English. She taught at Central High School in Memphis, Brookland High School and the Jonesboro Alternative School. She also worked as an architectural and engineering draftsman. Mrs. Eades was a member of the First Baptist Church, MENSA and former director of Habitat for Humanity in Jonesboro. She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of thirty-five years, William Eades of the home; a daughter, Heather Katherine Eades of Savanna, GA; two sons, Nathaniel Judson Eades of Jonesboro and Cameron Richard Eades of Murphreesboro, TN; a granddaughter, Freya Katherine Andrews of Savanna. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church Chapel at 701 S. Main with Dr. Bruce Tippit officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home, 300 W. Matthews Ave. Honored to serve as honorary pallbearers are Beth Maney, Janie Overall, Mike Overall, Jimmy Upton, Karan Upton and Jennifer Duke Hundley.
