Obituary
Jonesboro- June Earnestine Young, 88, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.
She was born June 14, 1929 in Caraway to the late James and Anna Pearl Lucas. She was a longtime employee with the State of Arkansas. She was an avid painter, musician and animal lover. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William David Young; an infant son, Michael Chris Young; sisters, Villa Mae Swindle and Donna Holcomb; a brother, Monte Lucas; brothers-in-law, G. W. Northern and Everett Swindle.
She was survived by her sons, Joey V. Young of Garner, NC and David R. Young of Jonesboro; sisters, Edna Simpson (Bernard) of Vilonia, Gerrie Isham (Ace) of Greenbrier, Glenna Northern of Batesville and Lela Dillahey (Bud) of Jonesboro; a brother-in-law, Hillard Holcomb of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Paul Unbehagen (Kristina) Denver and Katie Young of Garner, NC; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Alex and Avery.
Services will be private under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
