Obituary

June Clark, 85, of Pocahontas, departed this life peacefully on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

June was born on June 5, 1941, to the late Rev. Thurman Johnson and Doris Poteet Johnson. She was a woman of strength, faith, dedication, and love whose life touched many people throughout her years.

For many years, June owned and operated Pocahontas Tire, where she became a familiar and respected member of the community. She was also a longtime member of the Pocahontas Chamber of Commerce and proudly served on its board. Through her work and community involvement, June made lasting friendships and contributed greatly to the community she called home.

Above all, June treasured her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who took great joy in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family was at the heart of her life, and the love she shared with them will remain a cherished part of their memories. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

June was a faithful attendee of Sutton Free Will Baptist Church, where her faith was an important part of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Thurman and Doris Johnson; and her siblings, C.T. Johnson, Roger Johnson, Steve Johnson, Katherine Husereau, and Pat Chinnock.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Jeff Clark of the home; daughters, Amy (Craig) Hibbard of Pocahontas, Rebecca (Caleb) Henry of Harrisburg, and Whitney (JJ) Blankenship of Paragould; grandchildren, Austin Hibbard of Hot Springs, Jonathan Hibbard of Pocahontas, Ethan (Sara) Henry of Harrisburg, and Levi Henry of Harrisburg; and great-grandchildren, Kynlee and Chloe Hibbard of Hot Springs, and Elias Henry of Harrisburg.

She is also survived by her sisters, Mary McElory of California, Diane Prittchett of California, and Ruth Thompson of Jonesboro; her brother, Mark (Beth) Johnson of Jonesboro; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

June leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, hard work, and devotion to family and community. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the love she gave will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 6, 2026, from 1:00–2:00 P.M., with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Donnie Burke will officiate. All services will be held in the McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Private burial at Johnston Cemetery in Reyno.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Austin Hibbard, Jonathan Hibbard, Levi Henry, Ethan Henry, Burkley Blankenship, and Brady Stanton.
