Jonesboro- June Arlene Clark Adams, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022.
She was born on the farm at Otwell, September 7, 1932 to parents Herbert and Ruth Arlene Clark, and she led an extraordinary life. She loved growing up on the farm. She had many pets, and she loved spending time with her father and grandfather as they worked to produce rice and soybeans. In her high school years, she participated in many activities at Valley View High School. She was the Salutatorian of her graduating class in 1950. She was voted Most Beautiful and Most Likely to Succeed. She chose a career, instead of going to college, she began working at Production Credit Association, which is now Farm Credit Services. She met the love of her life and they were married in 1952, just before he left to fight for the Army in the Korean War.

She had a beautiful voice and she sang at many weddings, funerals, and events throughout Northeast Arkansas. She loved singing in her church choir and performing solos in many cantatas and songs. She loved hosting showers and events at her home and with friends and relatives, and she loved attending all of her children and grand children's events. Her family referred to her as the person who had attended more fine arts events, than any person on the planet. She loved choir and band concerts, ballets, musicals, plays, operas, recitals, and pageants, and she was always the last one applauding.
After her grand-daughters were born she retired from Farm Credit Services after 48 years working as an administrative assistant and loan officer. She enjoyed every moment she spent with her precious babies. She volunteered at Fox Meadow Elementary and was awarded twice the "Volunteer of the Year". She obtained her Certificate of Interior Design from the Atlanta School of Design, and after retirement, she and her daughter opened "Passing Fancies Interior Design". She enjoyed working with clients and meeting new people.
She was a member of the Otwell Christian Church where she sang in the choir, through the years was the worship leader, taught VBS, Sunday School, worked with youth groups, worked at church camp, served as the church treasurer, was a faithful member of the Christian Women's Fellowship, and was a "spiritual light" to everyone who knew her. She enjoyed traveling anywhere with her family. She made many trips to California, Florida, New York, Washington D.C., and camped many times at "Gunner's Pool" outside of Mountain View. She enjoyed interior designing, sewing, gardening, painting, shopping, and spending time with friends and family.
