Mrs. Joyce Ann Mitleff of Harrisburg, departed this life Thursday, July 6, 2017, at her home, at the age of 72.
She was born May 3, 1945 in Harrisburg, the daughter of the late Thomas Earl Garner and Ara Morgan Garner. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Harrisburg. She loved to quilt and knit and crochet and loved cooking and gardening. She married Tony Mitleff, Jr. on November 22, 1963 and they enjoyed 47 years together before his death in 2010.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Doug Garner. She is survived by two sons, Anthony Mitleff (Lisa) and Randall Mitleff, two grandchildren, Mike McMullin and Megan Mitleff Mays (Bob), two great grandchildren, Hannah Jo Mays and Logan Alexander Mays, all of Harrisburg, eight siblings, Sue Roach (Vaughn) of Jonesboro, Travis Greene (Donna) of E. Corondelet, IL, Terry Garner (Shirley) of Williamsport, MO, Murlen Garner (Mary) of Keysport, IL, Jimmy Garner (Sharon) of Harrisburg, AR, Jane Severs (Rick) of Belleville, IL, Donna Meyers of Pontoon Beach, IL, and Karen Kelley of Belleville, IL, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Gregg-Weston Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Kausler officiating. Interment will follow in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home, Friday evening, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Randall Mitleff, Danny Greene, Travis Greene, Bob Mays, Rick Foltz and Devin Garner. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Eastin, Stanley Pierce, Tim Easter, James Baney, Jr, Jason Garner and Tim Stockard.
