Jonesboro- Joyce Lamkin, 67, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born April 6, 1947 in Jonesboro to the late Dewey and Willie Webb Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and her family and enjoyed music and animals. She is survived by her husband, Larry Lamkin; a son and his wife, Dr. Tony Lamkin and Chrissie of Batesville; two granddaughters, Ashley Lamkin and Anna Lamkin both of Batesville; four sisters, Realma Bradley, Elwanda Taylor, her twin sister - Lois Smithee and husband Joe and Lisa Smith all of Jonesboro; her mother-in-law, Ruby Lamkin of Jonesboro. She was also preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, David Bradley and Johnny Taylor. A celebration of her life will be 10:00 am Friday, July 18, 2014 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Doug Ferris officiating. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home at 300 W. Matthews Ave. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Michael Lamkin, Rodney Lamkin, Tommy Smith, Clay Houston, Chris Posey and Nathan Harrell.
