Lake City- Joyce Austin Holst,81, passed away on August 9,2026, She was born on September 2, 1944 to the late Loyd and Annie Marie Harrison Austin in McCrory. She resided in Star City in her early years where she attended Star City Elementary School and finished her schooling at Star City Senior High School.

Joyce married and moved to Pine Bluff in 1962, where she worked at Stant Management until relocating to Lake City in 1990. She spent the remainder of her career at Colson Caster Corp. and retired in 2002. She later moved to Olive Branch, Mississippi, where she spent her final two years.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Hoehaver; two step-sons, Jesse Holst and Javier Holst; as well as her brother Gerald Wynn Austin; and grandchildren, Morgan Hoehaver, Charles B. Hoehaver IV, and Jacob Holst.

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Ricky D. Holst, and son, Charles Hoehaver III, who passed away in 2012.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, August 14, 2026 at Refuge Church, with Steven Hinkle officiating. Visitation will precede the service starting 1.
