Obituary

Bono- Joyce Faye Baker, 78, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Place.

She was born July 29, 1938 in Clarksdale, Mississippi to the late Lynn and Ethel Williams. She was a homemaker and had worked at Singer Factory in Trumann. Mrs. Baker was a member of the Bono Church of Christ and enjoyed gardening, flowers, watching Cardinal and Razorbacks games and loved her chickens. She also loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Earl C. Baker; their children, James Baker (Renae), Barbara Barnes (Jake), Linda Painter (Ronnie) and Carla Brown (William) all of Bono; a brother, Jimmy Williams (Geneva) of Trumann; a sister, Shirley Baker of Harrisburg; ten grandchildren, Jeremy Baker, Tracey Rodgers, Anthony Cline, Garrett Barnes, Toby Painter, Philip Painter, Rachel Beach, Lacole Reed, Chloe Quarrels and April Coleman; twenty-five great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Jewell Locker; three brothers, Charles Williams, June Williams and Joe Williams.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.

A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm Friday, June 30, 2017 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel with Richard Aikens and Danny Blalock officiating. Interment will follow at Herman Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jeremy Baker, Anthony Cline, Garrett Barnes, Daniel Reed, Toby Painter and Philip Painter.
