Joy Louise Scalzitti, 82, of Pocahontas passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024 at her home.

She was born November 5, 1941 in Aurora, Illinois.  She attended Black River Technical College and then worked as a CNA at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center in Walnut Ridge.  She loved cats and dogs, especially pugs.

Joy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond Yeager, Curtis Grimes, and Buzz Grimes; and sister, Barbara Grimes.

Joy is survived by her husband Raymond Edward Scalzitti Jr; daughter, Kimberly Hackworth; grandsons, Robert Michael Heckman and Steven Joseph Heckman; great granddaughter, Audrianna Heckman; sister, Deborah Lorenz; and many other relatives and friends.

No services are scheduled at the time.  Cremation has been chosen as the method of final disposition under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.
