Obituary
Pocahontas- Joseph Eli Eads, 87, passed away on October 17, 2018 surrounded by loved ones.
Eli was born December 19, 1930 in Pocahontas, AR to Vernon and Maggie Smith Eads. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Pocahontas. He retired after 25 years of service in the Army National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 66 years, Pauline Eads; 1 brother; and 5 sisters.
He is survived by his daughters, Judy Eads (James) Downs of Pocahontas and Linda Eads (Darryl) Fritz of Bowling Green, MO; grandchildren, April Duff of Pocahontas, Jimmy Joe Downs of Diego Garcia, Amy Baker of Senatobia, MS, Andrew Downs of Pocahontas, Jennifer Randall of McComb, IL; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Lonnie Eads; sister, Thelma Phillips; along with nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 1-2 pm at McNabb Funeral Home with a funeral immediately following at 2 pm with Nelson Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to First Free Will Baptist Church, PO Box 86, Pocahontas, AR 72455.
