Obituary
Pocahontas - Johnny Hillis Spikes, 70, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at his home in Pocahontas.
He was born June 29, 1947 in Jonesboro, AR to the late John and Elaine Holt Spikes.
He was preceded in death by his Father, John F. Spikes, Mother, Elaine Holt Spikes, and Step Mother, Pauline Spradley Spikes.
He is survived by three children; Kasey Norton of Pittsburg, TX, Monica Walquist of Little Rock, AR, and Johnna Spikes of Los Angeles, CA; Three grandchildren; Nick, Preston, and Ava; Sister and Brother-in-law Bud and Mary Ella Spikes DuBois; Nephews; Scott, Steve, and Shawn Dubois; and also great nieces and nephews.
Johnny served in the Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam war. He retired from the General Telephone Company after 28 years of service. He was also an active member of the First United Methodist Church, a 32 degree Mason and a Shriner.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 9 from 5;00-7:00 in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 10 at Masonic Cemetery with James Wainscott officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church or to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
