Mr. Johnny Hunt of Harrisburg, departed this life Wednesday, June 21 ,2023 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, at the age of 83.

He was born December 29, 1939 in Harrisburg, the son of Thomas Wayne Hunt and Mildred Dunn Hunt.

Johnny went to Harrisburg High School, he was a U.S. Air force and National Guard veteran of 8 years. He was also a retired U.S. Postal Service carrier. He enjoyed welding, machine works and fishing. He also taught welding at Marked Tree vo tech and area public schools.

He is survived by his wife, Dottie Sue Parker-Hunt of the home, two children, James (Terri) Hunt of Cumming, GA and Catherine Hunt of Arlington, TX. One sister, Shirley (Bill) Volner of Harrisburg. Three grandchildren and Four great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and other family members.

Special Caretakers are Anthony and Holly Jo Hunt of Bono.

Direct Cremation. A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
